Should Restaurants be able to Ban Firearms

There is an interesting post and poll on the Personal Liberty blog asking the question if restaurants should be able to ban or restrict firearms on their premises.

I encourage everyone to go cast their own vote, but I thought I would share with you my perspective on the issue. The short answer is absolutely they should be able to ban firearms if they so choose. They should be able to post a sign and regardless of what state law says or what the 2nd Amendment says they should be able to ban firearms 100% at their establishments.

Those of you that have read my posts in the past know my own position on firearms. Therefore, I will wait the obligatory few minutes while you pick your collective jaws up off the floor if you are totally shocked about my position. Waiting… Waiting…

OK, everyone have their dental work back in place again? Good, let me elaborate. In a true libertarian society the right of private property must be sacrosanct. No negotiation on this point. However the rights of the individual need to be 100% respected as well. It would seem on this particular issue there is an impasse.

I disagree. As the property owner whose rights are sacrosanct they have the right to decide if someone is allowed in that facility with a firearm. However you as the individual whose rights must be respected also have a right to NOT go to that establishment and NOT spend your money there.

They are under no obligation to allow you entry with your firearm and you are under no obligation to come in. You as the individual are also allowed to boycott and make your displeasure known to whomever you would like. They as the property owners are also allowed to make their position known and defend it if they so choose.

In my state it is legal for any business to post no guns and as a CCW holder I am obligated to obey. If I choose to do business with one of these companies I do so according to their rules. However I also have the right to not do business with them and in my personal day to day life I do. I will not, on principle, go into any business that denies me my right to go in armed. Period. This is MY rule and MY right, which I choose to exercise.

Many times I will let the business know that I have or will take my business elsewhere if they choose to maintain this position. I am generally cordial and will ask them some questions as to why or how they came to the conclusion that this was a good idea. In some cases they don’t know why. In other cases they simply did not really think the issue through or have the facts to accurately assess the situation, i.e. that criminals don’t care if the stupid sign is up and only law abiding gun owners will obey those signs. Therefore, it doesn’t “protect” them from crime. If anything it keeps someone who could defend them from being present when a criminal does come in and ignores the sign.

However if at the end of the day they have an ideological position against guns and no matter what facts you present choose to ban guns on their property; in a libertarian society they should be allowed to. I also have the right to make certain choices, which I do.

Now for you people that are screaming you have a right to go here or there AND be armed I offer this. There are certain places in every city where the criminals rule. It is unsafe to go there under just about any circumstances, even if you are armed. You are of course free to go and be armed, but do you really want to? The point is being able to go absolutely anywhere you choose armed while it may be your individual right is it one you ALWAYS choose to exercise under ANY and ALL situations? I would offer no, there are some places that you CHOOSE to not go even if you can go armed.

This situation is not really that different. You are choosing to NOT go to a place because if you must go unarmed the place is fundamentally unsafe. If you were armed you might feel differently, but just like our crime ridden part of town you might not feel safe even if you were armed. The issue isn’t one of being armed or not armed it is about feeling safe under the circumstances. In a place that chooses to ban firearms I don’t feel safe because I know the facts about criminals. I choose to not go and feel unsafe. I am voting with my wallet and I am choosing to tell others about my position (boycotting) and letting them make their own decision.

Remember in a libertarian society your rights only extend to the point at which they infringe on another person’s rights. A private property owner has rights to. You may disagree with their position, but you can’t trample their rights to exercise yours. Simple as that.

Obama to Rule Internet by Fiat!

Here we go again, Obama taking the HUGE hammer of government and crushing the last bastion of freedom left in the U.S., the Internet. The Internet has remained free for the most part until now. Because of this freedom, just like everywhere else it is tried, entrepreneurship and innovation has created an unprecedented level of wealth, services, and efficiencies. As usual anything that is working well is something Obama wishes to get his little paws into and screw up and so here we go again with “Net Neutrality”.

Like most big government based “solutions” looking for a problem to solve it sounds all nice and fair. We are told those evil big corporations should “not be picking winners and losers” in terms of determining who gets a bigger pipeline to content.

Sadly this didn’t seem to apply when Obama was padding his cronies in the green energy sector and picking winners and losers there. Where a “winner” was a “business” that would get a big donation from you the tax payer via Obama’s big government giveaway program and then turn around and give a big donation of some of that same money to Obama’s campaign. After all this the company usually went out of business because it was a stupid idea and poorly managed to start. Anyone remember Solyndra? Talk about money laundering!

However in reality this regulation has so much more than “fairness” built into it. Like Obamacare, you remember, if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor. How about that promise of more affordable healthcare? How is that working for you?

This law will regulate far more than just who gets broadband access. If you let the grubby little tyrants in they will eventually be levying taxes, regulating commerce that goes over the web, limiting free speech, controlling cryptography on “its” Internet. It will regulate prices and so much more.

This has got to stop. This little dictator has to go! As a small business I have been involved in the Internet for over 20 years and yes, you little thug, I did build it! I want you to stay away from the Internet. You have already regulated and strangled so much of our freedom in just about every other area of life you need to leave this alone.

Here is a semi-related article from the architect of Obamacare about how they had to mislead and fool the American people and depend on “voter stupidity” into accepting Obamacare and now they plan to do the same thing with this piece of crap law.

It truly will be Obamacare for the Internet! Here are just some of the great things currently available that I can see being outlawed once the little thin skinned dictator gets his hands on regulating the Internet…

  • Ending or highly regulating Bitcoin because transactions occur over the Internet.

  • Levying taxes on all eCommerce

  • Eliminating the use of cryptography for email and other file transfers or at the very least building in government only back doors, you know, just for totally legitimate law enforcement, not to spy or anything bad like that.

  • Controlling wages and prices for services that occur over the Internet.

  • Controlling or deciding what is “acceptable” free speech over the Internet and being able to ban “hate speech” which of course they get to decide what the definition of “hate” is, i.e. read political opinions they don’t agree with.

Plus don’t forget the giant expansion of government workers, massive budgets that grow every single year and brand new previously non-existent departments to manage all of this regulation! Remember like any other government monstrosity once that crap is created it NEVER goes away!

The American people need to stand up and fight this little tyrant and tell the thin skinned dictator to leave the Internet alone! Free was how it was started. Free is how it should remain.

Only freedom and minimal regulation will allow the next 20 plus years to create the same level of wealth, innovation and efficiency as the last 20 years. Get lost you little tyrant! Find some rock to crawl under until 2016 when we can finally be rid of your stupid ideas and piss poor “leadership”!

American Highway Robbery Under the Color of Law

Here is yet another case of “legal” highway robbery performed by police. These incidents are way too common. Asset forfeiture is one of the most abused “laws” in the U.S. and is used daily by cops everywhere that want to rob motorists.

Sadly these incidents are not only legal, based on crooked and abused laws, but the cops often times are shown in photos with the stolen loot, smiling, like they just won a lottery. I guess they did. The media supports them and the entire force of the U.S. government protects them. Highway robbers in the 1700s should have had it so good.

Originally these laws were created to stop drug lords and other criminal cartels from being able to keep mansions, yachts, sports cars, and millions in cash after getting busted for whatever criminal activity they were charged with. Unfortunately as the law of unintended consequences collided squarely with the greed of government what we have today is nothing short of state sanctioned highway robbery.

The various departments that conduct these robberies get to keep just about everything they steal so they are highly motivated to stop motorists and rob them blind under the pretense of law on a daily basis.

Here is the way this scenario typically plays out. A private citizen is driving along doing nothing wrong, but happens to be traveling with a large amount of cash. (sidebar – THERE IS NO LAW AGAINST TRAVELING WITH ANY AMOUNT OF CASH IN THE U.S.!) and they are pulled over for a minor, typically made up, traffic violation that “justifies” the stop.

Then the highway robber, err, I mean cop, prolongs the stop and verbally works over the citizen until they get consent to search the vehicle. If they don’t get consent they call in a drug dog who miraculously ALWAYS finds some indication of drugs, even when none are present, to give “probable cause” to search the entire vehicle without a warrant… We wonder why most people don’t believe we have a 4th Amendment any longer!

Upon searching they find the valuables and go on to say it is suspicious, related to drugs or some other illegal activity, etc. then promptly steal it! They do NOT need to charge the citizen with ANY crime to do this. The assets are considered a separate entity from the citizen and can be “guilty” of being from a criminal source without knowledge or involvement from their owner, or so goes the legal theory.

Sometimes these highway robbers will run the person into their criminal boss, err, I mean “prosecutor” so they can threaten the citizen with all kinds of trumped up charges, jail time, etc. unless the citizen signs a paper giving “permission” to the robbers to take their property.

Many times these poor people are minorities, don’t always have a solid grasp of their rights and like most people are intimidated by the brute force of government being applied to them. They don’t have the resources or connections to fight back so they simply lose their assets. Even if they choose to fight they often rack up thousands of dollars in legal bills, wait months or even years to get their OWN property back.

Like most legal entanglements, even if you “win” you still lose because of the money lost to legal fees, stress, time wasted, etc. Even if the state loses, so what, they have an entire police force out that is robbing the next private citizen(s) driving along with “too much” cash or assets ready to be plundered on a daily basis. The odds of coming out ahead are clearly in the governments favor. In the U.S. today, we call this “justice”.

I call it state sponsored highway robbery and the declare the cops, prosecutors, politicians and other individuals that perform it no better than criminals with a bigger gang to enforce their will on weaker people. This detestable and corrupt practice has NO place in a free society among a free people.

D.C. Forced to Recognize Gun Rights

According to this story from the Washington Post, Washington D.C. City Council unanimously passed a law allowing individuals to carry concealed handguns for the first time in 40 years. Here is an excerpt from the story…

Members of the D.C. Council begrudgingly, but unanimously, voted for a bill that would allow individuals to carry the firearms if they meet a number of requirements.

The bold and italicized are mine. This single word is one of the key things wrong with government today. The right to bear arms is an individual right that we are born with. Government never was and never will be the arbiter of these rights. Their ONLY responsibility in this regard is to PROTECT that right from infringement, period. Look at the absolute audacity that they claim that they are ALLOWING someone to exercise a fundamental freedom!

ALLOWING, I really want that word to sink in. I want you to think long and hard about government ALLOWING you access to a fundamental, absolute, and natural right, but again, only under their terms and conditions!

The article goes on to state that they claim to be following the ruling by the court, but in reality are still stopping people from exercising this right. The law that ALLOWS people to exercise this right still let’s the police decide if you have a “good enough reason” to exercise this right. Everything about this is the exact opposite of what government should be doing. They don’t get to ALLOW you to exercise this right any more than they can decide if you are ALLOWED the right to free speech, free assembly, or freedom of the press!

Can you imagine if politicians or the police could shut off someone’s right of free speech because they don’t feel that the person requesting the permit has a good enough reason to exercise this right based on their own made up arbitrary standard?

The article goes to say that people who actually ARE ALLOWED to exercise this right by dictate of the police still must go through 16 hours of training. Again, can you imagine if you wanted to exercise your free speech or freedom to choose your own religion and the government not only got to decide if you had a “good enough reason” but also forced you to go through 16 hours of training first! Since when does the government get to dictate specific training people have to go through to exercise a fundamental right?

The article goes on to quote Marion Barry, City Council member and true lover of freedom and gun rights…

“I don’t believe in guns. I don’t believe in carrying guns,” said council member Marion Barry, Ward 8 Democrat and a former four-term mayor. “I think the public ought to understand that all of us here are doing something we really don’t want to do.”

Well, Mr. Barry, I don’t really give a flying f**k what you believe or that you are being forced to do something you don’t want to do!

First, what you believe or don’t believe has absolutely no bearing what so ever on my rights! Second, the government everyday, hands down laws, regulations and mandates that I don’t believe in and many other freedom loving Americans don’t believe in either, but we don’t get to decide if we are going to follow them! Maybe we should.

We don’t get to cast a vote among ourselves and decide if we are going to follow YOUR laws, but somehow you have the audacity to believe you have that right over other free people? You are truly a piece of work!

I know many in the shooting community view this as a victory and to some degree it is, but it is a far cry from where we should be. Perhaps Americans should start deciding what they believe in and picking and choosing which laws, regulations and mandates they will follow. After all what you believe is meaningless to me so I figure turn about is fair play.

ISIS is the latest PR stunt for the “War on Terror”

Does anyone remember that nasty horrible terrorist group, Al Qaeda? Sure, some people have a foggy recollection of that group, but most are sure it died when Navy SEALS put some much needed lead into Osama Bin Laden. Unfortunately that left the Neocons and big government guys trying to peddle their “security for freedom” wares again with a problem. If people truly perceive that terrorism is shrinking in the world they won’t have the stomach to go back into Iraq or swallow another “anti-terror” legislation pill.

We already have given up so much freedom that we will never see again. We live in a surveillance state where the government watches everything we do all in the name of “protecting” us from those bad terrorists. What these peddlers of anti-freedom needed was a new sexy sounding threat to scare the American people back into Iraq and willingly accepting even more freedom robbing legislation. Enter ISIS. Doesn’t the name just sound ominous? This is just what the spin doctors ordered. They sound really bad and with every news agency in the country pushing stories out daily and the Internet exploding with stories of them beheading Christians and journalists and others they have created the new “bad guys” ta da!

As Ron Paul states in this article the Neocons are screaming for blood again, the Fed is salivating at the prospect of being able to turn the printing presses back on to full speed to fund another war against another horrible sounding, but this time faceless, terrorist organization. No doubt some additional freedom robbing legislation is sitting in a drawer somewhere in D.C. ready to pull out at just the right time to shove it down our throats again when the right news story breaks.

If Americans buy this again, they are truly fools. This is nothing but another PR campaign to sell us another “solution” in search of a problem for a country we should have never been in, will never bring peace to, and will ultimately be back under another new dictator again very soon. I am not convinced people in the Middle East actually want peace or can live together in peace. However even if I am wrong, the bottom line is, it is their problem and they need to figure it out. We can’t force a solution on them. Nor should we try.

We also can’t be jumping at our shadow every time a new and improved terrorist group is peddled to us by the freedom hating war mongers in Congress. Enough is a enough. Stop believing what these people keep trying to sell. Think for yourself and take your own security into your own hands. Stop thinking these idiots are going to sell you a solution that will work. It won’t. If you truly want personal protection you need to make it for yourself.

Own a gun
Learn how to use it
Get some training
Be aware of your surroundings
Set up your house with some common sense security measures
Have some supplies stored up
Build a family response plan to an emergency
Know your neighbors and community

In other words be THE solution; don’t allow someone else to be your security blanket. What they offer will only give you a false sense of security while quietly erasing more of our precious freedom and wasting more money chasing shadows. I don’t depend on anyone else for my personal security and you shouldn’t either. Step up and do it yourself and put a stop to the “terror is everywhere” hustlers in Congress.

Desperation to Start Gun Control Debate Falls Flat…Again

Recently I have read a number of articles where the anti-freedom gun haters of the world are trying to read tea leaves and even a scrap of data that shows they have a chance in hell of restarting the gun control debate. In addition, you can almost read the glee in this “journalist” as he talks about how Bill Gates has joined the fight for gun control with 1 million dollars, which is pocket change for the world’s richest man. He goes on to predict doom and gloom for the NRA now that Bill Gates has opened his pocket book.

Here are a few more pieces trying to show some correlation between a slowing down of gun sales and American’s desire for more gun control…

Americans are buying fewer guns says Smith & Wesson

Gun sales are plunging

All of these articles have one thing in common. They stink of desperation. In some they are trying to somehow suggest that because gun sales are slowing down from 2013 levels, which by the way was an all time high, that Americans are now in favor of gun control. Sure. Go ahead and try and bring that debate back up in Congress right now. I dare you. This issue is a political career killer and most gun control advocates know it.

What gun control advocates can’t seem to get through their very dense skulls is that no amount of money or decline in gun sales or anything else these morons see in the tea leaves is going to change the debate, Americans want freedom and many believe that comes from their ability to own a gun. Americans aren’t ready to hear your “common sense” solutions anymore now than they were 2 years ago.

Just look at Colorado as a perfect example. Bloomberg dumped millions into state races there and his candidates were crushed. Another state rep resigned rather than face a certain recall effort and Hickenlooper is fighting for his political life right now. Talk about a scorched earth campaign. They passed gun control and now they are paying a very dear price for their efforts.

Harry Reid is scared to death of bringing anything up that might further jeopardize his embattled Senators that will flip the Senate from Democrat to Republican control, which seems more certain by the day regardless of what he does or doesn’t do. Many of those Senators are already finished politically and they just don’t know it yet. Their fate was sealed when they voted with Obama to socialize healthcare in this country and the American people get to see and feel the pain of that failure everyday as they live under the tyranny of Obamacare.

Politicians, particularly liberals, socialists and Democrats need to give up once and for all this gun control debate. Accept for a few lunatic states on either of the coasts this issue is dead and if anyone doubts that just whisper the words gun control, er, pardon me, I mean “gun safety” laws at the national level and see how “ready” the American people are for your worthless, freedom robbing laws.

Bill Gates, Bloomberg, Steve Ballmer, etc. joining this debate with all their money isn’t going to change anything. Freedom haters can’t seem to grasp that you simply can’t buy people’s hearts and minds on this issue. It may be different if the apocalyptic world these people seem to think exists really did with blood in the streets and gun fights on every corner, but it isn’t. According to the FBI crime stats, violent crime has been dropping for 20 years, partly due to every state now having some form of CCW available.

When rare incidents occur like Newtown CT, it truly is horrific, but also extraordinarily rare and certainly not a trend of any kind. That is why gun control can’t get a foothold because guns are not the problem, never were. Having Bill Gates spend a bunch of money trying to tell everybody it is won’t work. Every time these fools attack our freedom and rights we will go into full fight mode and not give an inch, the way it should be.

The Hunger Games – Conservative or Liberal

I was listening to a recent discussion about the movie The Hunger Games and discussing if the government and society portrayed in the movie was right or left. Conservative, Liberal, or Socialist. The discussion was fascinating because people who are liberal claimed it was a conservative government and conservatives were sure it was a liberal or socialist government and society. Both groups cited various scenes in the movie to back up their points and were sure they were right.

The truth is, both groups were wrong. The government and capital portrayed in the movie is neither right or left. It is totalitarian in nature. The interesting thing is totalitarian governments can be either right or left, conservative, fascists or socialist. It really doesn’t matter what the underlying philosophy is at some point in world history there has been a totalitarian government that matched all of these philosophies.

The one common element in all totalitarian governments regardless of underlying philosophies is total control of the people. This is generally brought about by surveillance of the people such as portrayed in the book 1984 by George Orwell as well as brutality as showing in both Nazi Germany and Stalinist Russia. In all totalitarian governments there is always a favored group whose leader is generally in charge. They get special freedoms, privileges and access. In truth it is often this privileged group that insures the leader stays in power.

The other commons theme regardless of what type of government philosophy it is, i.e. right or left is that the government is too big and too powerful and simply too abusive. The fact that people who watch this movie and see “the other side” in that government shows they are completely missing the point.

When Republicans (not the same as conservatives) are in charge they grow the government and make it bigger and more intrusive. Under Bush II we got the lovely (un)Patroit Act which really put us on the road to that total surveillance state that is a component of totalitarian governments. Under Obama we have had huge freedoms stripped away from our economic lives, healthcare, and many other areas, plus he did absolutely nothing to remove or get rid of the hated Patriot Act, in fact, he signed bills that made it far worse by suspending Habeaus Corpus among other things.

So people who vote for the Republicans because they think the liberals will create a world like The Hunger Games have missed the point entirely and it cost them a chunk of their freedom. Those that thought Obama was a huge improvement over Bush because he was supposedly the “anti-Bush” were wrong and have given up even more of their precious freedom and moved us even closer to that totalitarian government. Each election both sides accuse the other of doing this or that, but both grow government and make it more powerful and more intrusive. Neither side ever shrinks it and with each election and year that goes by the noose tightens a little more.

Most people don’t feel this noose tightening accept when “the other guy” or “other team” is in charge. When “their guy” is in charge they basically give them a pass and say carry on. That is the critical mistake. With each government both sides are losing freedom, but they simply don’t seem to see it. That is why both sides are sure it is “the other guy” who must be in charge when a world like The Hunger Games is finally here.

The only way to insure a world like The Hunger Games never comes to pass for either group is to quit allowing yourself to be constantly duped and focus on the one and only group who will SHRINK the ENTIRE government and remove them from your lives. Not the group that will shrink just the part you don’t like, but in total.

If you don’t vote for a government that will TOTALLY remove government size and control from EVERYONE then you are simply helping create a totalitarian government. That big totalitarian government is used against you no matter who runs it. You perceive that the use against you is more tolerable when it is YOUR guy who is using it against you instead of the OTHER guy, but the reality is both are removing your freedom, it is simply a matter of WHICH freedom you happen to be giving up today.

Eventually what will happen is we will continue to keep playing musical chairs at each election and each time the government gets more and more powerful and rips away more and more freedom from EVERYONE. At some point the music will stop. A totalitarian government will exist. The Hunger Games will no longer be non-fiction. Are you willing to risk that the coin toss of who is sitting in that chair of power when the music stops is YOUR guy and YOU will be safe? If you are you are a fool.

I vote Libertarian because I don’t want to be wrong. I want to insure I always keep my freedom. Do I agree with every stance the Libertarian party takes? Absolutely not, but the one thing we agree on no matter what is that neither of us wants to live in a totalitarian regime. I want to know that MY GUY is ALWAYS trying to make government less powerful and less totalitarian. Are you willing to do the same?

Chris Christie Rails Against Freedom

Recently Chris Christie of NJ demonstrated his disdain for freedom (again) by railing against the recreational cannabis laws of Colorado. As usual Christie like many others comes down on the side of less freedom for the people and more laws, regulations, and less freedom for the people. This is only one of many issues where this is his position. We are still waiting to see how he decides on magazine bans in NJ. I can tell you how the smart money plans on betting for that one 🙂

He argues in this piece about this legalization becoming a “slippery slope”. What he really means is he, like other statists are afraid that the people will get a taste of a little too much freedom and start demanding more of it on all types of things and less government. Nothing scares big government statists and tyrants worse than having the people figure out there actually is a better way to live.

What I find amazing about this moron is that he is scared that a little more freedom will cause a “slippery slope” towards freedom, but when politicians like him pass “common sense” and “reasonable” “gun safety” laws and gun owners say we are beginning a slippery slope toward gun bans and tyranny we are called paranoid, right wing and gun nuts with a lose grip on reality.

Again just another case of big nanny state government knowing what’s best and the people just not knowing “what is good for them” as we go towards this supposedly dangerous “slippery slope” of freedom. I prefer Thomas Jefferson’s stance on it instead…

“I prefer the tumult of liberty to the quiet of servitude.”

The really sad thing is this clown or that other stalwart of freedom Jeb Bush [full sarcasm intended] will end up being the nominee for the Republican Party for President in 2016. And they wonder why 75% of the American population doesn’t even bother to vote any longer.

We see almost zero difference between the two major parties. Both hate freedom. Both are scared to death of people getting even a taste of freedom. Both want bigger and more intrusive government on just about everything. No wonder the Founding Fathers had such disdain for “parties” they saw this coming over 200 years ago!

Operation Choke Point Confirmed

Operation Choke Point, where banks are choking out businesses that Obama and Holder don’t like is in fact real. According to the Washington Post this is in fact a real policy that has been used to strangle out firearms retailers and ammunition makers because Obama and Holder don’t like them. Despite the fact that these industries have been thriving and growing in Obama’s awful economy and despite the fact these are in fact legal products that are legal to sell.

According to Department of “Justice”, which is clearly an oxymoron, internal memos they were using their regulatory power over banks to force banks to terminate their relationships with “high risk” companies, which they made sure included firearms retailers and ammunition makers. They don’t like freedom, liberty, guns or gun rights and they can’t ban them through Congress so they figure they will just choke out the businesses that sell them by forcing banks to drop them as businesses.

This is morally repugnant, but it is simply what Americans have come to expect from this corrupt dictator and his vicious criminal henchman like Holder.

Unfortunately many of these “high risk” businesses are actually small family run companies who are simply trying to survive and put food on the table and keep a roof over the heads of their family. They are by definition the “little guy” out there just trying to make it in the worst economy since the Great Depression. Sadly they have Obama using brutality and government power to try and finish them off.

As usual this is another brutal abuse of Power by Obama and Holder who continue to tag team the American people and destroy anything they disagree with through anything but legitimate legislation or rule of law, which they don’t have on their side. This is quite simply the very definition of a tyrant. Anytime a dictator like Obama uses the power of government to choke out a legitimate business simply because he doesn’t like them is flat out wrong.

On a semi-related note, the economy contracted at 1% for the first quarter of 2014. One more quarter like that and it will be in an official recession, not that Obama ever did anything real about the first Depression he “inherited” from Bush. So you have businesses that are thriving [Firearms and Ammunition makers] in spite of Obama’s best attempts to finish off the U.S. economy and what does he do… use brutal government power to try and kill those very businesses… the only ones actually doing well. Great plan Barry!

The American people deserve so much better than Obama. He is the worst President in U.S. history bar none.

Dan Malloy, Governor of Connecticut, Violates Civil Rights!

In a recent news conference in Connecticut, Governor Dan Malloy remarked to people objecting to his draconian gun control bill rammed through in 2013 by saying “your side lost”. You can see the actual video below. the comment occurs around the 4:46 mark.

Dan Malloy is a tyrant and not fit to be a dog catcher much less a Governor or god forbid the President. He clearly has no respect for the civil rights of law abiding Americans. In fact, this law of his has turned tens of thousands of law abiding citizens into felons with a stroke of a pen! Before the law they were perfectly legal to own and NOT register their legally owned property after the law they are felons if they don’t comply.

His comment of “your side lost” clearly shows his contempt for human rights and civil liberties as well as his absolute ignorance of the Constitution.

A RIGHT IS NOT SUBJECT TO A VOTE!

A right is something we are born with and is not granted by government nor is it subject to a vote where majority rules and therefore can be stripped away. The ONLY function of government is to PROTECT rights! Not grant them. Not vote them away.

The fact that Malloy claims that the law is perfectly Constitutional because one of the courts packed with equally Constitutionally ignorant judges with no knowledge of history doesn’t somehow make this OK.

Liberals and socialists like Malloy have a long history of denying people their civil rights simply because they don’t like them or more likely because those rights interfere with their socialist plans for society. At the same time they fail to protect enumerated rights actually written down in the Constitution. On the flip side they seem to be able to invent or create new rights like Healthcare, housing and welfare rights out of thin air.

His actions have now endangered the lives of citizens and police officers as he has set up a veritable powder keg in Connecticut when he tries to enforce his unconstitutional laws. People are going to end up getting killed when police are ordered to start kicking in doors to enforce this heinous law. The blood of those people will sit squarely on the shoulders of Malloy. Hey, Malloy, I wonder how well this will work for your Presidential aspirations!

Tyrants always believe that as long as they somehow lend an air of legitimacy to their actions, like a vote, that it somehow makes their actions OK, but let’s see if that is true when people across the nation start seeing police officers being killed trying to enforce this law and families that lose fathers, mothers, sons and daughters to the same police and blood truly is running in the streets.

Well, Malloy when you decide to order your storm troopers to start kicking in doors and dragging people off to prison for exercising one of their enumerated civil liberties a quote comes to mind… “things are about to get interesting”.

MOLON LABE!
